Conservative Judge Andrew Napolitano: Bush Is a Felon PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Judge Andrew NapolitanoConservative Fox News Commentator and former district judge Andrew Napolitano said President George W. Bush is likely a felon in a May 8 broadcast over the Fox News Network. The criticism comes as the first nationally televised criminal accusation from both a prominent conservative as well as from a veteran judge.

Napolitano cited a May 4 New York Times report that President Bush personally authorized nine torture techniques to be used on detainees after both the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that detainees are entitled to Prisoner of War status and Bush himself signed into law a bill authored by Republican Senator John McCain that banned all nine torture techniques by name. Napolitano said he had independent confirmation from a “neutral” source that the New York Times report was accurate.

“If the New York Times article is accurate,” Napolitano said, “that would mean that the President of the United States of America committed a felony for each act of torture he authorized and which was carried out after the Supreme Court ruling or after he signed the McCain bill into law.”

I seem to recall receiving notice on John McManus' speaking in lower Manhattan. I think I recall it saying that he'll be there in May of this year. I hope I'm not too late.

Speakers Bureau
If you go to the 'action' tab on this website and then to the 'speakers bureau' selection, you will find information about who is speaking where and when. There is also a calendar at the bottom of the page with links to different scheduled speeches.
I don't know if or when he speaks in lower Manhattan, but he is scheduled to speak in Riverdale and Garwood New Jersey on the 19th and 20th of this month.

Violation by Bush of the Constitution
I think that Judge Napolitano is right in is judgment that Bush is a Felon, for violating the Constitution in this regard.

I would like to add that Bush also violated the Constitution, when he sent our troops into Iraq, by avoiding a congressional Declaration of War and by using United Nations Resolutions as his prerogative for this military adventure.
